Users Reporting Frustration With Motorola Xoom 4G LTE Upgrade
Motorola Xoom 4G LTE Upgrade
It was announced early last week that Verizon Motorola Xoom customers could begin sending in their Motorola Xoom Tablets for factory 4G LTE upgrading. This Motorola Xoom Tablet enhancement was promised many months ago to enthusiastic buyers.
Now, the time has come to send in our Motorola Xoom Tablets for the Motorola Xoom 4G LTE upgrade. Motorola Mobility informs us from the time they receive the device to the time they ship it back out should be approximately 2-3 days. We now hear from Motorola Xoom users in the Xoom Community that users are experiencing delays of a week or more. Furthermore, we are hearing issues concerning FedEx pick-up from factory.
Here is an example of the frustration with a positive ending by Motorola.

I received another shipment notification on 10/10 for the same tablet that did not ship last week as promised however FedEx still shows it has not been picked up. This is becoming a classic example of the old skit “Who’s on First”. I was able to actually talk to someone last week at the Elgin facility and they promised it would be shipped out on Monday (which is 10/10). They may be slammed from everyone trying to get in at once but their notification and tracking system sucks big time.

A fascinating development. My original tablet that was due to ship last week then rescheduled to ship Monday is still in limbo. The Fed Ex tracking number still shows awaiting pick up by Fed Ex. My other tablet that they had no information now shows actually shipped by Fed Ex and will be delivered tomorrow. Go figure!!!

Let’s hope the the Motorola Xoom 4G LTE Upgrade will go a little smoother. And that the Motorola Xoom 4G LTE Upgrade experience will be as satisfying as promised.
